PBL Questions

My group did our PBL project on Drugs And alcohol. We first had an idea to do a car wash to fundraise for Odyssey house, but the manager didnt reply to our email and we wouldn't be able to fundraise enough money. This lead us to change our idea, and instead we decided to print out fliers and put them up on peoples cars.

We didn't achieve our initial goal in doing a car wash and we wouldn't have had enough time to fundraise anyway. But our second idea of printing fliers worked well. We arranged with the teachers a time to leave school and put them up on cars that were in the mall car park.

Our group worked well together, but it was hard when different people were away at different times. This made it difficult because we had to make decisions without all the group members present. We initially wanted to do a car wash but we changed our plans. In the end we reached our goal to spread the awareness about Drugs and Alcohol and are pleased with what we did.

 I can understand the point of PBL but i wouldn't do it again.
I enjoyed working with my group but the only struggle was with people being away away at different times.

We called Odyssey house Although we were not able to talk to the manager we were able to talk to someone who was associated with them.The only problem with this is that we would have to wait for a response.

Our group organized what we are going to do to fundraise and talked to teachers about arranging a time to do our car wash.We talked to most teachers and they said it was fine to take time out and said yes to doing a car wash at school and decided we would do it next Tuesday between period 3 and 5.The only problem is that we couldn’t talk to all of the teachers.

On this day i wasn’t  present at school, but my group had decided to change the plans on the action we were going to take. We had decided instead of doing a car wash we would put up fliers around the Hornby mall car park.

We printed our fliers that were made, and cut the 30 copies in half. Later that day we went to Hornby mall and put the fliers up on the cars in the car park. The only problem with this is that not everyone in our group was here so it took longer.

We went through our slideshow and decided who was going to say what in our presentation. The only problem is that not everyone in our group was here.
